Duan Yuting
Duan Yuting has been dedicating herself to promoting Chinese contemporary photography for many years. Currently she is the director of Lianzhou International Photo Festival, one of the biggest and most influential photo festivals in China. She cofounded the festival in 2005 and has been closely involved with its development since then. Over the course of nine years and going into its tenth year, the festival has become a professional platform for upcoming and established artists to exhibit their talents as well as scholars and critics to discuss and exchange ideas about the various global developments in photography through an extensive range of programs such as photo exhibitions, public activities, annual awards, projection screenings, portfolio review and academic forum. Duan Yuting has been invited to be jury members, photo reviewers and guest curators by numerous international photo festivals such as FotoFest, FOTOBILD in Berlin, Paris Photo Biennale, Rhubarb-Rhubarb festival in Birmingham, Salonika Photo Biennale in Greece, Festival de la Luz in Argentina and Moscow Photo Biennale. In the past several years, she has also been a nominator for Prix Pictet Photography Prize and the Hasselblad Award.
